Industrial Injection S467.7 2nd Gen Turbo Kit 03-07 Dodge 5.9L Cummins

The factory turbo found on the 03-07 Cummins is capable of supporting sub-450 horsepower levels. Above this point, it is being oversped that will result in failure, as well as the fact it simply cannot supply enough air to support horsepower levels above this point. Further, the placement of the factory turbo is not positioned in an ideal position as its centered on cylinders four and five as opposed to three and four, resulting in the front cylinders running hotter than the rear.

So, what's the fix? Easy, this turbo and installation kit from Industrial Injection to improve airflow and square the turbo on the engine!

And now, lets talk about the turbo. Industrial Injection has done a LOT of research on turbo sizing. This particular S467 on a 5.9L will work best when used in conjunction with custom tuning and a moderately sized set of injectors for power levels above 600 rear wheel horsepower to deliver superb street manners and enough airflow to even kill it at the track.

Turbo Options - The standard turbo kit will utilize a 1.10 A/R exhaust housing which is great for maximum boost levels and low drive pressure. However, if you're running minimal injector size (around 100), oversized tires, 3.42 or 3.73 gears, etc., you would be better suited to run a smaller A/R ratio, such as a 0.90, to actually increase drive pressure to assist in turbo spool. But if you're somewhere in the middle, say running 150 horsepower injectors, 35" tires, 3.73 gears, and daily drive the truck, you may be best suited for the 1.00 A/R housing. Further, for those that want the ultimate in spool, Industrial has a modified compressor cover, they have termed their "Quick Spool" compressor cover that utilizes the same FMW Compressor Wheel as the standard cover, but is designed to be super responsive for great daily driving manners. And for those that would prefer to sacrifice a small amount of bottom end response in favor of massive mid and top end airflow, they offer up their Race Cover.
