South Bend NV4500 1-3/8" Input Shaft Upgrade 94-03 Dodge 5.9L Cummins

The NV4500 transmission has been a strong and reliable manual transmission for years. Used in many applications, replacement parts for these are innumerable. For those that are wanting to increase the strength of their transmissions, a weak point is the factory 1-1/4" input shaft. Because of this, many upgraded clutches for these transmissions require you to upgrade to the later style NV5600 1-3/8" input shaft. To further strengthen these shafts, South Bend has these shafts cryogenically treated in order to give a consistent density for further resistance to breakage.
