Is your 68RFE on its last leg? The BD Stage 2 Build It Transmission and Torque Converter Kit will rebuild your transmission to handle the added power your engine now produces. The parts included in this kit are the same components that are used in BD's Performance Transmission Packages. All kits include the basic rebuild parts, gaskets, and upgraded parts such as a custom bonded gasket and valve body separator plate, heavy duty accumulator plate, QT100 pressure plates, billet OD/reverse selector plate, stiffer billet intermediate reaction plate, billet 4c spring retaining ring, and ugraded clutches.
The BD ProForce Torque Converter is designed for towing and street applications up to 550 flywheel horsepower. This converter features BD's "Enhanced Stall" performance cast aluminum stator that improves efficiency and durability for low RPM response in stock or high horsepower applications. The front cover uses a billet forged front cover machined with thicker walls, stronger mounting pads and a 11.625 inch dual clutch. The turbine fins are furnace-brazed for improved fluid coupling efficiency and new piston damper springs are installed for longevity and durability.
