There's two reasons you might be looking at this product. First, maybe your truck didn't come with a block heater cord in the first place and you're ready to add one to be ready for cold winter months. Secondly, the original cord could have gotten damaged, such as by leaving it plugged in and driving off (we've NEVER done that before!). Nonetheless, the cord installs simply by merely plugging it in and routing the cable, typically to the front bumper, and its relatively inexpensive.
